About Us
We are a church plant that exists to share the Good News of Jesus with people of Sheppey. We believe that the Gospel of Jesus is the best news you could hear and is as relevant to life today as ever before. We are a bunch of ordinary people who have an extraordinary God. Whoever you are, whatever your story, whatever your journey we believe that Jesus loves you and we’d love to introduce Him to you.
The Spocchia family
Matt is a Sheppite, born and raised on the island. When he was at university in Canterbury Matt heard about the Good News of Jesus for the first and began exploring who Jesus was and what He was all about. Not long after this Matt made a decision to trust in and follow Jesus. Back in 2007 at his baptism God spoke to Matt through two different people, at two different moments, about one day Matt coming back to Sheppey… and in July 2018 Matt and his family did.
Matt and Helene have a big heart for the people of Sheppey and have been involved in a number of different community projects through which they have been able to love, befriend and walk alongside many local people. They love to share the Good News of Jesus with people and to disciple others into a life of enjoying walking with Jesus in daily life. Matt and Helene have two wonderful daughters, Martha and Edie.
